Photography:

I like to work on location where you are, so that you do not have to move any artwork. You can also bring artwork to me at my studio if you want to. Because of travel and set-up time I like there to be at least $100 worth of work to do, but I will make exceptions. I will even do some work for free if there is a compelling reason to do so, please ask me. For jobs outside the Triangle area we will determine the cost of travel. For me, photography is its own reward, but I do have bills to pay and good equipment costs money :)

I will also host any photos that I make with you on this website for free in the Virtograph Gallery. If you want help putting these photos on your web site, or if you want a web site to put the photos on, please ask, and read some basic info below.

•› Photos of artwork are $10 for each finished digital photo or color film slide, regardless of how many are made to get one very good one. I will work with you to get the best image possible, but if you are not happy with an image there is no charge. I calibrate the cameras and profile the images to ensure accurate color and to produce museum-quality photographs. 20 images and more are $7 each, and 50 images or more are $5 each. Digital photos are delivered on CD and/or over the Internet. Slides are delivered by mail or in person.

•› Virtograph 360° panoramas (such as these smaller ones, or these full-screen ones) are $75 for the first one and $50 each additional one, and of course if there are many of them I will reduce the price accordingly.

•› Rotating Objects (such as these) cost $35 for the first one, and $20 each additional, with discounts of course for quantity.

•› Zoomable Images (such as these) are priced depending on the size of the image and other factors, and start at $20. Talk with me about what you want to do and we will figure out the pricing.

•› Yes, I will photograph weddings, people, architecture (are you selling your home?), and more. Please ask.

 

Web Sites - Design, hosting, and more:

My basic prices for websites are about $100 for the home page and about $50 for each additional page, with basic formatting and text that you supply. Additional design and copy writing is billed on a case-by-case basis with pricing agreed to in advance of work, so there are no surprises. Website photo gallery installation (such as this one at ellengiamportone.com/gallery) is $100, so you can get a basic 3-page website, with a photo gallery that you control completely yourself, for about $300. This includes my help so that you are not on your own.

I run my own web servers (with a team of system administrators) so we can offer you good prices on hosting your web sites:

  • Basic website: $10/month
  • Website with Gallery: $20/month, with 100 megabytes of photo storage (enough for 1,000 100K images)
  • Website with shopping cart: $40/month plus setup. You can sell your artwork from your own website.
  • We offer search engine optimization for a fee (so that your website will be found in the search engines, and it's a lot of work to do this right), and for free we offer full traffic statisitcs (so you can see who is visiting your site), e-mail (your-name@your-domain.com) and lots more. All sorts of things are possible, please ask for whatever you want.

I offer support at reasonable rates for everything we set up with you so you are never left on your own, unless you want to be.
